Time to choose the dress of your dreams and suddenly there are so many things to consider……
Where should you look is a big question and may be answered by talking to your family, friends, and coworkers to find out what their shopping experiences were like. Spending time at various shops so you can experience first hand any specialized services offered and gown styles available is also a good idea.
Choosing a style that best suits you is usually achieved by trying different gown styles on as you will sometimes be pleasantly surprised by what will take your attention. Work closely with the professionals in the store as they will be knowledgeable in the current styles and will be able to help guide you in your selection. Your choice of wedding venue may also play a part in your choice of gown.
Start looking for your gown as early as 8 – 12 months before your wedding date. This will give you time to shop around and to be able to order in your correct size if it is not already in the store. Some stores may be able to have your gown in as little as 12 – 14 weeks, but not always, so a good rule of thumb is if you have extra time, use it and order early to avoid any unnecessary delays and panic.
Ask questions and make sure you have all the facts straight before you order your dress. Check for delivery dates, make sure all price information has been disclosed, and find out the stores policy regarding deposits and payment plans. Verify color, size and style numbers as this information is being recorded on your order form and be sure the store has all of your contact information.
A seamstress will be necessary and stores should be able to recommend an experienced and qualified person if they do not have one who works from the store.

In partnership with many fine show sponsors such as: Magee Jewellers, D’Vine Design Floral Expressions, Eclips Salon and Day Spa, Great Takes Photography, Urban Scout Productions, Moore’s Clothing For Men, Key Group Realty Corp., St. Thomas University – Conference Services, and Live Love Laugh Event Planning and Services, their will be a total of over 30 vendors providing something for the bride, groom and the entire wedding party…all under one roof. The doors will open at 11am and the show will go until 4pm. There will be stage demonstrations featuring hair, makeup and music and one lucky person will have a chance to win a $1000 pair of diamond earrings donated by Magee Jewellers. Anyone can enter for a chance to win the earrings and their will also be lots of fabulous door prizes for the brides | to be, (must be present for all prize draws). The fashion show will begin at 3:00 pm, and will showcase all the latest dress styles including a sneak peak at the 2010 line up. There will also be a donation presented to the Canadian Cancer Society in support of Breast Cancer Research.
